trains

London- Tube every 2 mins, bit dirty, air is poor, tons of germs, people in your face and smells. Bus- every 2 mins. slow in traffic, can get packed with kids and crazy bus drivers thameslink/southern- unreliable expensive but run all day and night. Car- not in london, don't want an uber crash or the risk of running into a bike or something as there are people everywhere on bikes and mopeds Melbourne Bus- don't bother Tram- like a bus but way slower. the novelty of the ding ding wheres off quick. expensive also at same price as a train fare ($4). Trains- i take the Frankston line. Not bad, never mega busy that you are in someones armpit, however if you are standing not much to hold onto for some design reason. Also you have to open the doors yourself buy physically pulling the handle?! Train stops are way to close its like a rail bus really unless you get an 'express' service which actually is only 6mins quicker. However it is free before 07:10am which is good. Car- traffic and no where to park. London 0 - 0 melbourne a draw.

Tarts

Custard tarts. Australia 0 v Uk 1. Australians can't make custard tarts. Custard like jello Shape is really thin not deep like uk Taste is like plastic. Pastry is ok. Dense and shortbread like Price triple here in Australia than uk If they didn't require fridge or if ups had express 1day service I would ship them over. P.s. don't get me started on the dismal choice of quiches here also.

New Blog

Hi This is a bit late since Alice and I have already been in Australia for a month now and pretty much settled. However this will be a place where I can give my views on living in Australia, what I miss and what is good as well as other life posts. Look forward to more posts coming soon.
